Preparing for the Trip.

Five months and we will be on our way to Beijing, China. You should start preparing for a great adventure. As we get ready to head to China, I've been thinking about if you can be over prepared. There is something to be said for being plopped into a different culture with no preconceived ideas and no expectations. If we were going to spend a month in China and had a week to get used to things when we got there, I might recommend this procedure. That is not the case with our trip. One whirlwind week is all that we have. Every minute will be full of business meetings, site seeing, eating, and shopping. We want to be prepared for as much as possible. There still will be surprises. No matter how many times you see a Chinese toliet in pictures, there is nothing like the first time.
